MISSION
A soul-searching endeavour – to see the world (evolution of life and civilisation of mankind – a subject of enthralling interest to me) through “mine” surrealistic eyes and “mind” and also based on evidence/facts and knowledge known.

What I “see” and “know” will be documented on canvas using black pen for a distance of 1 (one) kilometre which will be recorded in the MALAYSIAN BOOK OF RECORDS and subsequently in the GUINNESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS.

OBJECTIVE
This project aims at putting the different kinds of human civilization with diverse cultures and religions that manifest from the history together on one stretch of canvas in a unique way so that they can be link from one to another, thus promoting one brotherhood of humankind and indirectly promoting world peace.

This artistic mission aims at creating awareness in art especially to young individuals who have high adoration towards materialism and ignore the aesthetics of the “soul”. This mission hopes to unite people through the beauty of fine art .

THE ESSENTIAL OF EXPEDITION

The drawing need to be brought to the actual location, as the life and its context could be captured directly, which is outside of the artist’s imagination. Each selected location has its own interesting subjects especially those which once involved in the development of human civilization.

The theme of expedition is base on ‘mount’. Through the observations on evolution of civilisation, men were looking to mountain as the focus of power due to its physical enormity and reach. At such high elevation, the observation of the world around is made clear.

Such high places are believed to be where messages are sent to guide the human civilization. It is also where those legends and myths are born and influence culture and society.

THE TRAIL OF EXPEDITION

KINABALU & SANTUBONG-Its significance in history of mankind, the long period preceding it, has been overshadowed. Most of these, have been found in the protected environment of caves.

Teotihuacan,MEXICO-Long before the arrival of Columbus, there were some great civilization had appeared. The most sophisticated was the Maya.

HIMALAYAN RANGE is sourrounded by great civilisations and empires.

INDIA-The civilization of Indus Valley had started since 2500BCE, later had developed to be a society which rich in culture.

SRI LANKA-Similarity between myth from different cultures believes here was the first land where the father of human has landed.

Yunan & Xian; CHINA-Since 2200BCE, China has grew as a great civilization. The migrant of Chinese adding new variation of culture in human civilisation.

Seam Reap,CAMBODIA-Angkor Wat being the vivid remnant of previous reign of Khmer Empire.

EGYPT-By 2118BCE there was a great flowering of Egyptian cultures. They produced fine works of art and architecture and demonstrated extraordinary feats of engineering.

GREECE-The 500 BCE was the great age of Greek’s, which became the focus for a thriving commercial and cultural life.

Jabal Nur,SAUDI ARABIA-Through a vision sent to Muhammad, later leads the way for explorations of new knowledge and the rose of Islamic civilisation.

Hadral Maut,YEMEN & Lahore,PAKISTAN-After Muhammad’s death, his followers spread his visions by preaching,trading and conquest. Islamic civilization reached its peak during the reign of Harun Al-Rashid (800CE).
